Lambeau Field, Farmer’s Market and a Green Dinosaur

June 8-14, 2018 — Our week started in Green Bay, Wisconsin and ended just across the WI/MN border in Woodbury, Minnesota. We spent three days in Green Bay, two in central Wisconsin and the remaining two days in Minnesota. All nights were boondocking with stays at a casino and at the homes of friends and family. The trek between Green Bay and Woodbury takes us completely across the state of Wisconsin east to west. Soon we will be doing the trip west to east and then back again by early July. We will know every bump and curve on the route by the time we are done.

There’s a rebel in every family.

Free boondocking at Onieda Casino in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The casino also offers sites with electricity for $15 a night. It’s a great place to park if you don’t mind the early morning plane traffic noise from the nearby airport.

Saturday Farmer’s Market in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Good produce, bakery, and cheese. Lots of free samples, food vendors and musical entertainment. Easily our favorite farmer’s market in Wisconsin.

The Green Bay Farmer’s Market provides carts for customers to haul their purchases while shopping. Very nice! Free parking is readily available on nearby streets, parking lots and garages.

A common sight in central Wisconsin. We were heading west on Highway 29 in route to Woodbury, Minnesota.

We are always looking to improving our motorhome to make it more functional for our needs. Here we added a pull out drawer to the closet. It is raised up to provide shelf storage underneath the drawer. We used heavy duty drawer slides so the drawer can hold considerable weight. Currently we are using it as additional pantry space for items such as canned goods and aluminum foil rolls.

Another week of fun is now behind us. Some weeks it seems like we don’t do much for activities but then we look back at the weeks’ photos and that tells a different story. The key to successful full-time travel is maintaining a good balance between doing activities and having downtime to relax and unwind. We need days where we stay at home and do quiet activities like reading or researching where we want to go next. Speaking of next, stay tuned for our the next adventure episode where we spend time in Minnesota and central Wisconsin. See you then!
