Do you miss having your own washer and dryer?
Not at all. We visit the laundromat every 3-4 weeks or whenever it is convenient for us. Cost varies but is usually around $8-11. Some campgrounds have laundry facilities on site. Other times we google nearby laundromats and choose the one we go to based on photos and reviews. We like being able to do several loads at once as you are in and out in under two hours. A few of the facilities we have been to take credit cards so no need to worry about carrying a pocketful of quarters around. The process is quite painless.
What camera equipment do you use?
Most of our photos are taken on Google Pixel cellphones. The Pixel has a 12.3 MP camera that takes spectacular photos. Occasionally we use a Panasonic Lumix 20x camera if we are trying to zoom in on an object. The Pixel is much easier as the photos upload right into the cloud without messing with a memory card.
How do you decide where to go next?
We follow the weather striving to find 70-75 degrees the best we can. We are currently in Texas and will slowly be moving north as winter turns to spring. We have a general route mapped out as we know we want to be in Wisconsin by mid May. From that general route we find places of interest to visit using resources such as Google, Pinterest, YouTube, blogs, forums, friends, etc. Researching and planning is challenging at times but also is a lot of fun. We don’t like to plan too specific or far ahead in time as it takes away from the spontaneity and adds more stress than we care to have.
